About: Ms. Mejico is interested in educational best practices, differentiated multi-tier support systems, and tutoring to acceleration. She is the English Department Chair, a provider of after-school academic assistance, and is a member of the WASC Accreditation team. Ms. Mejico was awarded the La Riviere Society Excellence in Teaching Award 2020-2021 for her work here at Aquinas. She was also the recipient of the Distinguished Teacher Award by the Diocese of Catholic Schools 2022-2023. She has a passion for teaching and learning that includes time as a classroom teacher, coach, and school administrator. Ms. Mejico loves to spend time with family. She loves to bake...a lot! She has a passion for reading, which is why she has a Nook so that she doesn't have stacks of books around the house. Watching movies is another interest that grabs her attention, especially Marvel or action movies. And...her favorite color is red!
