The Aquinas summer school program allows full-time students to take credit recovery courses they need to meet Aquinas high school graduation requirements and college acceptance requirements. Students are not allowed to enroll in any class to get ahead. Our Counselors must approve any class in which a student wants to enroll. Each summer class period counts as a semester. Three summer classes is the maximum number that a student may attend. Students can download the summer brochure and application from this page or come into the main office to pick up the forms. For current students, if Aquinas offers a particular class during summer, students must attend the Aquinas summer session. If Aquinas doesn't offer a particular class, they must use Aquinas’ Online Academy (myonlinehighschool.com). Contact the counseling department for more information regarding academics.
Aquinas does accept non-Aquinas students for the summer session. Any student from another school must provide a current transcript prior to their acceptance into the summer program.
Incoming 9th graders are allowed to participate in the summer session. The Steps Program allows students to get extra help in the subject of math and English prior to attending high school.
The 2019 summer session begins on June 17th and ends on July 12. The school will be closed July 4th. Aquinas does have a snack bar open during this time. For more information please contact the main office. The Summer School Handbook explains the summer rules and regulations for attending classes. It also explains that there is a strict attendance policy regarding tardies and absences from summer classes.
