Mr. Keck is in his eighth year at Aquinas. He has 11 years of teaching experience at the middle school and high school levels. He is also a parent of an Aquinas student. He currently serves as the Chair of the Social Science Department and the Director of Educational Technology. He earned a B.A. in History (Emphasis in European History) from California State University, San Bernardino and an M.A. in History (Emphasis in Ancient and Medieval History) from California State University, Long Beach. He is currently working on an M.A. in Educational Technology from Michigan State University. Mr. Keck is also certified as an Apple Teacher. Most recently he has attended Advanced Placement workshops and Intensives in the area of History, the Apple Executive Briefing: Apple Education Team, The Differentiated Classroom: Planning for Learning, Webb's Depth of Knowledge, Inquiry Based Learning Institute, and the CUE Conference. He is a member of the American Historical Association, the Association of Ancient Historians, the Community College Humanities Association, the Medieval Academy of America, Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society, the Honors Society of Phi Kappa Phi, and Cue. His interests include Ancient and Medieval Cultural History, Perceptions of “Others” and Interregional Interactions, Intellectual History, Historiography and Theory, Educational Technology,
Apple/Google Software, Blended and Personalized Learning, AP courses and college readiness, and Productivity and Design Leadership/Management.
