About (interests/hobbies, classes, etc.): 

This is Mr. Karavedas' 29th year in education, with 16 years of that time spent in teaching,  He is starting his 9th year here at Aquinas. He is a member of the Social Studies Department, and teaches two sections of  US History. This year, along with Ms. Lejay, he will be teaching the newly added Media Marketing class. 

Mr. Karavedas' primary role at AHS is serving as Director of Admissions and Marketing. He coached  football at Aquinas from 2012 to 2018, winning a CIF title in 2017. Currently, he serves as defensive back coach for Sunny Hills HS in Fullerton, where his son Peter is the Head Coach. 

He has two grown children (Peter, who teaches AP Economics and is the Head Football Coach at Sunny Hills HS in Fullerton and Ashley, who is the STEM Project-Based Learning Teacher for the Rancho Cucamonga Elementary School District) and five beautiful grandchildren, Alli, Kara, Niko, Kyle, and Joey. He has been married for 39 years to Dr. Joy Karavedas who works at Azusa Pacific University within their School of Education. Mr. and Mrs. Karavedas reside in Huntington Beach, CA with their dog, Buddy
