Mr. Mota came to Aquinas in the fall of 2006. He grew up in the Long Beach/South Bay areas of Los Angeles County. Mr. Mota is a CSU Long Beach graduate in Fine Arts. He is married with two children.

Mr. Mota has been a teacher at Aquinas for 14 years. He has a total of 17 years of teaching experience, most of which is at the high school level. He is currently teaching in the Visual & Performing Arts Department, teaching: Photography 1, Photography 2, Drawing & Painting, Advanced Drawing & Painting, Advance Drawing & Painting 2, AP Art & Design: Drawing, AP Art & Design: 2D and AP Art & Design: 3D. Mr. Mota also finds time to coach the Varsity Cross Country team and Varsity Track & Field. He regularly participates in the LA84 Athletic Coaching Development workshops. His interests include black & white photography, illustration, painting, backpacking and traveling.
