Dr. Egan is an Aquinas alumnus and currently serves as the school's Principal. She has 19 years of experience in education, the last 17 of which have been here at Aquinas. She has served as Assistant principal, taught grades 9-12 in the English Department, served as the teacher for our Journalism class, the School Counselor for grades 9-10, and the English Department Chair. Dr. Egan was also the moderator for our Law Academy and she currently oversees NCAA and NAIA student-athlete eligibility. She has earned a B.A. in Print Journalism, a Masters in Education with a special emphasis in  Single Subject Teaching, and a Masters of Science in Educational Counseling from the University of La Verne. She holds a Pupil Personnel Services Credential issued by the state of California. She earned a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Change & Leadership from the University of Southern California. Her dissertation examined the academic achievement gap of male students of color. Dr. Egan was awarded the Distinguished Teacher and Distinguished Staff of the Year from the Diocese of San Bernardino for her work here at Aquinas. She has extensive experience as an athlete and coach, having played DIII soccer and softball in college and coached Varsity Girls Soccer for ten years. She also worked as a high school sports writer in the beginning of her career. Recently, Dr. Egan has completed training in Equitable teaching and learning, Webb's Depth of Knowledge, Inquiry Based Learning, Differentiated Instruction, and Serving Exceptional Learners. She is a member of the California Association of School Counselors (CASC), Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the University of Southern California Alumni Association. Dr. Egan is interested in educational research, best practices, culturally responsive teaching, and college athletics.
